Who We Are

A database of attorneys who charge a 25% reduced fee for low-income individuals with a regular income who have certain types of civil legal issues, including family law.

Mission Statement-  Establishing in 1958 to provide referrals to competent legal representation based on indiviual need.

Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 200.0% of the poverty level.

  Must not have liquid assets over $3,000.
 
Attorney will reduce his/her fee by at least 25% and establish payment plan for individuals qualified under reduced-fee porgram. Client is responsible for initial consultation fee of $20, intial retainer, cort fees, and final billing from attorney, etc.

This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Full Legal Representation- provided by attorney
  Brief Advice- provided by HBA Legal Line
  Pro Se Legal Clinic- Offered through Harris County Volunteer Lawyers
  Self-Help Materials- written and distributed by HBA
