CHIP - Children's Health Insuance Program
v The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) helps families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but can not afford to buy private insurance.
v Families pay premiums and cost-sharing based on their income for doctor visits, prescription drugs, and emergency care.
v CHIP is private health insurance coverage for children up to 19 years of age.
v CHIP is for families who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but still cannot afford insurance.
v If your family income is above Medicaid limits but below 200% of the Federal Poverty Limits, there is a good chance your children will be eligible for CHIP
