How to Exercise Your Right to Vote

Don't Forget These Things When Registering to Vote in Wyoming.
- Register in Advance: You must sign up at least 30 days before voting day.
- Mailing Address: You don't need to live in a house to sign up to vote. But you do have to have a mailing address. You may use the address of a place of worship, social service, shelter, job, family member or friend. Make sure that you can check your mail often at this address.
- ID: If you have a driver's license, you must have it with you when you sign up to vote. If you do not have a driver's license, you must use your Social Security number. You can still sign up without these things. Ask the county clerk, the Secretary of State's Office or a lawyer if you have any questions or problems with proof of ID.
- Convictions: You cannot vote if you are a felon. You can still vote if you have been convicted of lesser crimes.
- If You Have Trouble: Shelters or social services in your area may be able to help you. Or, you can contact NLCHP, the Secretary of State's Office, or a local voting rights group.
