How to apply for assistance
To apply for Legal Aid services call the intake hotline at (808) 536-4302 on Oahu and 1-800-499-4302 on Neighbor Islands.
The intake hotline operates during the following times:
MONDAY - FRIDAY
9:00am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
Legal Aid's Honolulu office also offers Walk-In Intake Service

Each year Legal Aid assists low-income individuals and families living on Oahu prepare their state and federal tax returns for free.
To get your taxes prepared you may walk-in on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Legal Aid's Honolulu Office at 924 Bethel Street Honolulu, HI 96813. Saturday tax preparation services are offered first come first serve and no appointment is necessary.
You may also schedule an appointment with a tax preparer Monday through Friday by calling the VITA Hotline at 527-8050 or schedule an appointment online. Go to http://www.legalaidhawaii.org/NEWS.htm for more information.
