THURSTON COUNTY VOLUNTEER LEGAL SERVICES

Volunteers Promoting Access to Justice

Thurston County Volunteer Legal Services

We provide free legal advice, information, and direct representation to low-income people in Thurston and Mason Counties in civil matters only.

We cannot help you, if you already have an attorney.

We cannot help you with a criminal matter.

We cannot help you with an immigration matter.

We want to empower you to resolve your own legal problems.

If you want help, call the toll-free CLEAR line: 1-888-201-1014-- between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm Monday through Friday.

If you are over 60, call CLEAR Sr. at 1-888-387-7111.

To help you navigate the legal system, we provide free legal clinics.

* the Olympia Legal Advice Clinic meets the second and fourth Tuesday night in downtown Olympia. By appointment only.

* the Shelton Legal Advice Clinic meets the first Tuesday evening of each month in the Mason Transit Community Center. By appointment.

* the Domestic Violence Survivors' Legal Advice Clinic is held the first Thursday and the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the SafePlace, 314 Legion Way in downtown Olympia. Appointments are not necessary.

* the Housing Justice Project is held at Thurston County Court, Building 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every Friday.

In a very limited number of cases, we refer cases for full representation.  Priorities for referral are cases involving domestic violence, and cases where clients have extra barriers such as disability or limited English.
