These are activities approved for credit by the Washington State Bar Association. Activities are held on the first Thursday of the month at noon and last one hour. May 7, 2009 AN INTRODUCTION TO WEB-BASED CASE MANAGEMENT USING "LEGAL SERVER"

Along with the other volunteer legal service programs of Washington State, we have adopted "legal Server" as our web-based case management system. During 2009, volunteers will have access to on-going case tracking during clinics. This is an introduction to Legal Server for those volunteers who wish to be "early adopters". Please note that mastery of Legal Server will not be a requirement for volunteers. It is offered as a new system for better our clients.

June 4, 2009 WEB-BASED TOOLS AVAILABLE TO VOLUNTEERS AT LEGAL CLINICS

Volunteers will learn to use the free web-based support calculator, recognizing when to use it, its significance, data requirements and interpretation. Volunteers will also see web-based forms systems and other web-based tools. This is not a course in web-based legal reasearch.

Special issues arise during Domestic Violence Survivors' Legal Advice Clinics. Staff, volunteers, and management of SAFEPLACE, our partner in these clinics; explain Safeplace's history, training programs, special procedures and confidentialty requirements.
