Southeast Louisiana Legal Services attorneys are sharing their disaster law experiences and expertise with others at national and regional conferences this spring.
Mark Moreau and Laura Tuggle spoke to Southeast United States legal aid program directors and managers on "Coping with the Katrina Disaster" in Little Rock in late February 2006.
In March, John Keeling spoke on Mainstream Public Benefits for homeless people at Louisiana's annual conference on homelessness in Shreveport.
In March, Brian Lenard is speaking at two upcoming seminars at the American Bar Association's Equal Justice Conference. Mr. Lenard will speak on technology's role in responding to Katrina and the legal community's efforts to help natural disaster victims. Mark Moreau and Paul Tuttle will also speak on how pro bono attorneys can help Katrina victims.
In April, Bernadette D'Souza will speak at a Texas State Bar Association Poverty Law Conference on Katrina Disaster Related issues. Ms. D'Souza has also been invited to an April Tulane Law School conference to speak on Rebuilding Healthy Families post-Katrina. |
