Our attorneys recently made 3 presentations at national conferences.

In February, Laura Tuggle spoke on Affordable Housing in the Wake of Katrina at the National Low Income Housing Coalition's conference in Washington, D.C.

In March, Paul Tuttle and Mark Moreau spoke at a panel discussion, A Few Lessons Learned from Providing Legal Services in Major Disasters and Diaspora, at the 2007 ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference in Denver. Joining them were Tripp Greason from Womble Carlyle and Paul Furrh, Deborah Wray and Sue Sere from Lone Star Legal Aid.

Mark Moreau also co-moderated a panel discussion, New Orleans Now: A Portrait of Pro Bono Signature Projects and Excellence, at the 2007 ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference. The presentations showcased outstanding pro bono work in response to legal needs created by Hurricane Katrina.

The panel included Daniel Greenberg from Schulte Roth & Zabel, Sylvia Mayer for Weil Gotshal & Manges, Tripp Greason from Womble Carlyle, , and Shelby Guilbert, Jr., from King & Spalding. Collectively, these 4 law firms donated more than 15,000 hours of pro bono legal work to Hurricane Katrina victims.
