Who We Are
CLADC exists to provide free or reduced-cost legal services to low-income individuals from a faith-based perspective. Utilizing a network of volunteer attorneys, law students and other professionals, CLADC provides legal services primarily through its legal aid clinics at locations around Washington, D.C. Cirumstances and languages in which interpreters are provided | CLADC uses Ayuda and various volunteers to provide professional interpretation/translation services for numerous languages. |
Income Guidelines | CLADC provides free legal services to residents of the District of Columbia whose income does not exceed HUD’s Low (80%) Income Limits that determine eligibility for DC residents for HUD’s assisted housing programs. As of FY 2019-20, said limits are $54,350 for a one-person household. |

Description of Services | We offer legal services, including occasional representation, in the following practice areas: simple estate planning (wills, powers of attorney), probate, expungements/criminal record sealing, Social Security disability, and landlord/tenant (eviction defense and housing code violations). |
