Who We Are
Advocates for Justice and Education (AJE), a non-profit organization founded in 1996, provides free legal assistance, advocacy, training, and support to DC families in addressing educational issues, specifically in the areas of special education, school discipline/exclusion, residency and other educational matters.

Income Guidelines | AJE services are available to all DC residents. We focus on serving families who are experiencing poverty and in underserved communities, and for extended legal services in school discipline matters there are income eligibility requirements- gross monthly household income must not exceed 300% of the federal poverty level. |

Description of Services | AJE provides free legal assistance in the form of advice and counsel, brief services and extended legal representation in the areas of special education, school discipline/exclusion and other education matters relating to protecting DC students right to an education. AJE also provides free know your rights training in the same areas. |
