Who We Are

The Amara Legal Center provides free legal services for anyone who has traded sex for money or any other benefit, whether their involvement in commercial sex was by choice, coercion, or circumstance.

Amara only serves individuals who have traded sex for money or any other benefit, whether their involvement in commercial sex was by choice, coercion, or circumstance. Our clients are sex workers and sex trafficking survivors.

Description of Services

Expungement and vacatur of records, custody, child support, civil protection order, and criminal defense cases. Victim-witness advocacy in criminal cases. Training for pro bono attorneys on representing survivors of sex trafficking.
