The DC Office on Aging develops and carries out a comprehensive and coordinated system of health, education, employment, and social services for the District's elderly population, who are 60 years of age and older. Its services include a city-run nursing home as well as Senior Centers throughout the District, all of which serve lunch.

A service for older individuals that provides current information on opportunities and services available within their communities. These services include providing information relating to assistive technology; assessing problems and capacities of individuals; linking individuals to available opportunities and services.
This information line also ensures that clients receive needed services and are aware of the opportunities available to them through adequate follow-up procedures.
