Walk-in services are available in the HONOLULU office only. Please arrive at 8:00 AM to secure an appointment with our intake staff. We take up to 6 walk-in appointments a day.

The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii is a public interest, non-profit law firm dedicated to achieving fairness and justice through legal services, advocacy, outreach, and education for those in need. Established in 1950, Legal Aid has 10 offices statewide and over 100 staff members dedicated to achieving Legal Aid's vision of "Building a Just Society.

  • Legal Aid
Description of Services

Range of services offered:
Legal Counsel and Advice: One-on-one consultation on legal issue(s), brochures, and referrals to appropriate agencies.
Brief Services: Assisting individuals to represent themselves through a legal process.
Limited Representation: Assisting clients in negotiations and settlement of legal issues with the other party.
Full Representation: Actually representing clients in court and administrative hearings.

*Services are generally free for those who qualify for LASH services. For those who make too much money or have too many assets to receive free legal services, The Affordable Lawyers project offers limited legal services for a flat, reduced fee.
