How to Search for a Missing Spouse

Use this brochure if you want a divorce but do not have contact with your spouse and/or do not know where to locate your spouse.   

As a part of all divorce cases, your spouse must be properly served (delivered) a copy of the divorce forms that you filed at court so that they know that you are starting the divorce process. If you cannot locate your spouse or do not know where your spouse currently is, Family Court still needs you to do your best to locate your missing spouse so that the missing spouse has the chance to agree or disagree with the divorce. This is required by law in Hawaii.
