Welcome! This online interview was developed by the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii for use by low-income persons representing themselves, however it is available free of charge to all persons. These forms are not for commercial use and charging for use in any way is prohibited.

Use this interactive interview to assist you in completing either 1) A motion requesting that the court move your hearing to an earlier date (Advance Hearing) OR 2) A motion requesting that the court accelerate the time it normally takes to receive and consider a response (Expedite Hearing).

What do I need to get started?

It is helpful to gather the following documents and information before starting the self-help interview:

  • Your name and contact information 

  • FC number (A letter Ex: D= Divorce, P=Paternity, G=Guardianship_) 

  • Case number (number following FC-___ )

  • Date and time of initial hearing scheduled
